What buyers ask about this product
Most product per container
Bentonite is roughly 25–27 tonnes in a 20ft against about 18 tonnes of tofu. On a per-kilo basis this is the cheapest way to move litter, and it is why the mass market is bentonite.
Strongest odour control per unit of price
Hard clumps that hold odour. If your buyer competes at €6–8 per 10 litres, there is no tofu version of that price point with a defensible margin.
Dust is the trade-off
Moderate dust from standard grades, higher from cheap ones. Specify the grade and the dust ceiling, and we will quote against it — this is where the cheapest quotation usually goes wrong.
Graded to your specification
Particle grading determines clumping speed and dust. We can supply to your specification rather than to a factory standard, and we will state the grade in the quotation.
Neutral or printed
Full private label service, with the same two routes and the same crossover economics as our tofu offering.
Documents and compliance
Every shipment leaves with a document pack prepared for your market. The following are available for this product, and we confirm which are required before production rather than after the container has sailed.
- Material declaration for the specific grade
- REACH SVHC screening report
- Third-party laboratory test report (SGS / TÜV / Intertek) on request
- Artwork proof with the label content listed per market language
- Packing list and bill of lading per shipment
Frequently asked
Why does bentonite fit more in a container than tofu?
Its bulk density is roughly three times higher — about 1.05 kg/L against 0.30–0.38 kg/L for tofu. Since ocean freight is charged per container, not per kilo, density decides your freight cost per unit.
How do I control dust?
Specify the particle grading and a dust ceiling in your written specification, and have it confirmed by test report. We will not quote a dust figure we cannot evidence.
What is the difference in freight cost per unit?
For a 20ft container, roughly USD 0.11–0.26 per kilo of freight against 18–25 tonnes of product. The per-unit saving against tofu is significant and we will show the calculation.
Can you supply a specific particle grade?
Yes. Give us the grading requirement and we will quote to it, with a test report issued for the delivered batch.
