What buyers ask about this product
Quoted by area, not by roll
Every quotation states area per container in square metres and the loaded weight, because roll counts alone are not comparable between suppliers.
Six-metre widths for roof gardens
One roll covers a full terrace width with no seam. Fewer joints means less on-site adhesive, less labour and no visible grid line from a building opposite.
2 × 10 m for retail
The format that fits in a European car and covers a useful 20 m². It is the size that sells to the do-it-yourself customer.
Drainage stated, not assumed
For roof and balcony use, a free-draining backing is essential. We state the drainage rate and the saturated weight so your engineer can work from it.
Retail-ready packing
Wrapped rolls, banded rolls with your artwork, or pre-cut panels — the packing format follows the channel, and it changes the cost.
Documents and compliance
Every shipment leaves with a document pack prepared for your market. The following are available for this product, and we confirm which are required before production rather than after the container has sailed.
- Material declaration for the pile and backing
- REACH SVHC screening report for adhesives and coatings
- Fire performance test report where the destination market requires it
- Technical data sheet: thickness, density, weight per m² dry and saturated, drainage rate
- Artwork proof for the retail band or sleeve
Frequently asked
What is the minimum order?
One 20ft container, mixed widths and lengths if you want to test a range.
How much does a container weigh?
It depends entirely on construction — roughly 4 tonnes for fine pile and up to 19 tonnes for bonded infill-free turf. We state the loaded weight before the container is sealed, because European road limits can be lower than the container’s own payload limit.
Can you supply 6m rolls?
Yes. Confirm whether they are folded for transport, and we will state the folding in the quotation because it affects the laying.
Do you supply infill as well?
We supply turf with the infill system specified — sand, organic granule, elastomer granule or infill-free bonded. Tell us the system your buyer sells and we will quote it that way.
